Review Of A Game That Has Released In Early Access

I went on steam on my pc and went searching for a new video game that I have never seen anyone play before and hopefully it being a new release. After a couple of minutes searching, I noticed there was a new skating game made by Electronic Arts (EA) and I wanted to compare this new modern skating game to their previous successor, skate 3 made back in 2010 and gave it a try.

When you first open up the game, you are greeted with a character selection screen and can customize your character down as detailed as you would like and as the more you complete challenges, the more outfits and skateboard decorations you can earn! After finishing designing your character, you can change your controls and for this playthrough I decided to connect my controller because personally its more easier to do tricks and turns with it. You also get the option to choose the casual more simple controls for skate 3 veterans/players or the more modern controls for skate. After, you are placed in the setting of San Francisco and have to complete the tutorial to unlock more freedom with your skateboard.

One positive trait that I really liked while playing this game was how fresh and smooth and the gameplay is quite addictive especially since there hasn't been a skating game for a few years.

One negative trait that i believe could have been better was there being more places to skate around and not just in San Fran and now im saying this only for an hour of playing and it is still in early access so hopefully in the near future they can implement fast travel for more places to skate.
